On October 11th 2021 at around 6:30am EST the website began returning an elevated number of 502 errors.

At approximately 7am EST our engineers began investigating the cause of the errors.

By 9:30am EST our engineers determined that the cause of the error was external on one of our third party cloud providers so the decision was made to enable maintenance mode on the website until further notice.

Throughout the day on the 11th the website experienced frequent times of elevated errors as our cloud provider mitigated the issue on their end.

At 6am on October 12th our cloud provider was stable enough so maintenance mode was disabled on the site and normal operation resumed.
